Dear Silky,

As I mentioned before I have just returned from Bali. Whilst we were away we had our friends marry at our villa and it was just lovely. In the run up we researched the following companies:

Ritz Carlton
Four Seasons
Bali Weddings International
Bali Exotic Weddings

In the end we selected to have the wedding at the villa as many of the hotelsí charges were astronomical and we basically wanted an intimate service. The prices for the hotels were in the thousands and given there were only four of us we thought it was a little out of control.

We dealt with Deden at Bali Exotic Weddings. He was the only person out of all the companies contacted who responded to each enquiry within 24 hours. Deden listened to what we were after and tailored a package for us. All the other companies had packages pre-structured and we had to fit in with them and offered very little or no flexibility. Deden could not do enough to accommodate us. When we arrived there I was amazed by him. He is a true professional, handled each enquiry with a professional approach. The day was fabulous and even right up to the last minute we were hitting him with requests and nothing was a problem. Deden processed all the legal requirements needed to recognize the wedding here in Australia. His staff handled each minute detail on the day and it was a truly magical experience. Dedenís address is info AT bali-exoticwedding DOT com.

For hair and makeup we used Diana Halim. Diana was wonderful and had a fabulous sense of humour. We all looked fantastic for the ceremony. She has studied in Germany and looked after our hair dos and make up. I used to work in the TV industry and I would rate her services highly. Her email address is Diana AT lamarieebridal DOT com.

For wedding photography we used Windee from the Photo Factory. We took a 3 hour package and 2 days later the album appeared at our villa and was nothing short of spectacular. He was also lovely to have around, was not intrusive, directed everything perfectly. Windeeís email address is windee AT photofactorybali DOT com.

Deden organized flower boquets etc. We had the drinks function afterwards at the villa so all was handled in house. Afterwards we had a celebration dinner at Ku De Ta. I would definintely NOT do Ku De Ta again as the service was dreadful. Food was fantastic but on the night they were quite dismissive and it took ages for them to recover the fact that we had reserved a prime table and moments before we arrived they gave the table away, even though we had confirmed at 6 pm and arrived at 7.30 pm. It was truly maddening. The restaurant manager Antonia offered us free desert towards the end to recognize their mistake, though made no mention or fuss that it was our friends wedding dinner.

Outside of the Ku De Ta aspect, I thought the day was perfect and this was largely in part to our extensive research so what Iím giving you is the result of months of work. I would highly recommend Deden, Diana and Windee. The bride was totally thrilled with the whole experience as was the groom. This was their first visit to Bali and they were bowled over by it.

If you give me your email address I can send you through some pictures and costs if you like.

Hope that was helpful. I donít think you will regret marrying in Bali. It was breathtakingly sensational.a

Kind regards,
