I've stayed at the Green Garden Spa Resort (not the hotel) twice now. The most recent was last month for a week after a few weeks in Amed. The spa resort is about 100 metres from the beach & opposite Bali Hai. The restaurant is great & the day spa is the best I've experienced in Bali. I paid US$46 per night (negotiated on arrival), ask for the top floor as you get beach views. Also the lane way a short walk from the resort (follow the beach road west for 200 metres & you'll find it) has great shopping, check out Ali Baba tailor & Rama Shop...speak to Hanny, she exports all over the world & will give you a good price straight up & the quality is good.
The stair to the rooms can be a pain but the ambience is very good, staff are great too. Make sure you try their Beef Randung...it is very good. My driver (of many years) hangs out at the transport hut just outside the Green Garden, near the beach laneway, his name is Dewa, tell him I sent you & he will look after you very well.
Have a great trip & if you decide to head east to Amed don't stay anywhere other than Blue Moon Villas...simple THE best.
Enjoy your trip.
