I have now had it confirmed Interpol has requested details of these events from the National Central Bureau in Jakarta (State "Polri" HQ), has not heard back from the Indonesian authorities (surprise, surprise) and is now "following up" regarding my complaint under their anti-corruption mandate. It seems, thank God, Interpol do take such matters seriously. This means, if nothing else, Balinese police officer Tri Kuncoro (who is also responsible for the nasty acts against German Harry Bleckert of Candi Internet / Bali SOS fame) is suffering from a severe case of embarrassment right now, and it is about to get worse. If Jakarta are also embarrassed or public minded enough, Tri Kuncoro may soon become the first Balinese police officer to be charged with corruption (which seems strange as clearly so many if not all Balinese police are as bent as a 5 bob note). If Tri Kuncoro goes down so will Jack Daniels of Bali Discovery Tours (sob, sob); the “man” behind all the unlawful police actions against me. But most importantly it will hopefully do the island of Bali a big favour; if police officers see one of their own going down for corruption, then they may be much less prolific in their attempts to extort money from people and one day, hopefully, do the job they are actually paid to do (which includes diligent anti-terrorism duties). Today is a good day. My wife even found “Nesi Goreng” mix at a supermarket we use in Spain yesterday ;-)
