hi Everyone,

Haven't been on the forum for a long time, but it has been very interesting reading up on all the postings. I have booked our family holiday to Bali for August and my Dad and his partner are coming with us (last year we had Mum, Nan, brother, etc.). I am looking forward to it so much! We have had the "Bali Roadshow" in Melbourne only last month and sales have been picking up thanks to Garuda's ridiculously low airfares ($500AUD return + Taxes). Australian Airlines jumped in to with same airfares. All the new brochures are out (so far, no Qantas Holidays), and they have flown out the door. This gives us hope. There has to be someone, somewhere, that can get the media to cover Bali in a positive light. If it doesn't encourage people to return, it will certainly get publicity!
This forum has (mostly) fantastically positive things to say about Bali, yet the average holiday-maker only listens to gossip.
I am very frustrated that such a fantastic place in the world is being so damaged.
Terrorism is everywhere, all we can do is carry on as normal and enjoy life to the best of our abilities.
