To remain so calm.... I don't think I could have controlled it. I had a less expensive experience once when travelling from Lombok to the Gillis. Waited HOURS for the public ferry, along with about 20 other locals. Someone kept offering me private ferry services to the island - it looked so close I could have swam. After 4 hours of heat, sun and hunger it got the better of me and I negotiated my private ferry trip. I was loaded into the boat and then all the others came. I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO SIT DOWN!!! No tip that day and dagger looks each time they approached me after that, however I don't think I fed the Island for a week.... And the beers too... That stings...
