Puri Bagus is great, except for the food, but there are two very good restaurants either side of the entrance road to Puri Bagus, so no problem. Would recommend getting seaview room though so you can't hear the mosque on the main road; the Garden rooms at the back suffer a bit to say the least. Puri Bagus' rooms are perfect pretty much except for the rubbish TV channels they have, but some may say TV should be left at home anyway. Also they have an agreement with locals to keep the harrassment down by beach sellers; probably the most gentile in what is generally a b awful area for hawkers.
