I have generally found Bali safe. Kuta is a pit and a place I stay away from if possible as I just don't like it.
Perhaps a word to the young ones regarding not only the personal dangers of drugs but also the penalties that apply in Indonesia.
Overall, most people just go about their holiday and have a wonderful time without any serious problems.
