My wife and I just came back yesterday from Bali and it was as great as ever. We had no safety issues at all, and the people were as friendly as ever. I had the same concerns after the bombing, Schapelle, and so-called police corruption, but as soon as I got off the plane and smelt the clove cigrarettes and inscence I forgot about it all. We have been 14 times over the past 10 years and the only two differences this time was that our taxi got searched before being let into the Waterbom Park carpark, and going thru 3 security checks before getting on the plane to come home (they also confiscated my deodorant from our luggage).
