Is there still a preference at some money changers for $100 Oz bank notes over $50 notes (reflected in the exchange rate offered)? Or is that just a game by some of the more dubious Kuta money changes that gives them an excuse to pay less when you front with 50s? I never had the issue arise in Ubud.
