The fact that you can walk down the street and have someone openly offer you drugs, day or night! If she is guilty, well then there is a price to be paid, but I watched it all today and was sick to my stomach at the way this whole thing has been unjustly tried and proven. As if she could prove who put it in there if she didn't. HOW ON EARTH can you do that!!!!
I know of the small amount that I have had to deal with over there. My question is now, how will the police and druggies treat Aussies now? Will others now fall into drug traps?
For all of the times that I have been there (five times), the customs have NEVER looked in my luggage, they have just waved me on. WHY did they look in hers and really, if you were going to take some stuff over there, would you be so obvious as to have 4.1kg????? and have it in a boogie bag? You'd conceal it better than that wouldn't you? And not all together. If the others are in it also, why did they choose her as the mule?
There are far to many unanswered questions. Very basic things like finger prints? How many people handled the bag? The only thing that they sent off to the lab was proof that it was dope! NOthing else.
I'll tell you one thing, it makes me greatful for the justice system we have here, at least it shows a little justice!
That's my soapbox! I balled when I saw her face. If she is guilty, o.k. but she wasn't proven guilty in my books!
