I think the fear factor (If I go to Bali, will I get fitted up for drugs?!) is going to have a huge effect. Whether this are just extra security measures and education, or a reluctance to travel to Bali. I think a bit of both. I also believe the political backlash from the man (and woman) on the street in boycotting the island will be significant.
For me, when the judge said to Corby's lawyers (such as they are - no wonder the Aussie government has now offered two leading Aussy QC's to help in the appeal process - I bet the Lubis sisters are not used again!!!!) "You have not proven your client's innocence yet" was the defining moment. Those words are to this case what the Internal / Inland Revenue Service's powers are to the normal rule of law, "You are guilty until proven innocent". Sorry, but for me this is another sad day for Bali and for justice there. The evidence was compromised. That should have been it.
Now we will see.
