Virtually all the rooms at the Niksoma face onto walls, and there are none that face the sea directly. The main block is at right angles to the water and the villas alongside it are screened from the water by the raised pool area.
I've stayed there 3 times in the past few months and have decided that from now on I'd rather be at the Kumala Pantai. The Niksoma is hot - there is almost no shade and the pool area can be a furnace. The KP by contrast has attractive gardens and a choice of sun or shade round the pool, which to me outweighs the Niksoma's direct beach outlook. The restaurants at both however have views out to sea.
Cafe Warna, by the way has closed for renovations and is being almost completely demolished. A new restaurant on the site is supposed to open in April.
