We stayed here last July after reading Carolyn's report. Would go along with what Carolyn says. We had a look and arranged to stay on our return from the North. We booked the de lux room by the pool, and when we arrived they showed us to the one facing the kitchen - we asked for the room by the pool, and they insisted that we pay extra for this, so we paid 350 rph per night rather than 300rph. The other rooms were 250 rph. There were a group of locals or domestic tourists staying at the same time, and as Carolyn pointed out, the noise by the pool with the children using it was a little off putting, as it is a very small area. They only stayed for two nights so it was not so bad. We did not extend our stay as it was a little too enclosed, with very little privacy.
The rooms were very pleasant, well set up, and we loved the out door bathroom. This would be an ideal venue if you were with your own group - you could almost take over the place. It is very good value.
We were asked if we would like some fruit from the market - we agreed and the fruit arrived - but it was rather expensive - they also wanted to charge us for fruit that they told us was complimentary.
I would stay there again, especially if there were a group of us.
Looked at the Villas Lumbung - more spacious, great pool area, very quiet - they were booked out on our return in July - but the rate there is higher, $75US
during July but you are able to negotiate during June to $65 including breakfast. Hope this helps
