Suggest you swap 2 of your Lombok nights for 2 more in Ubud. Not much to see or do in Lombok, but lots in Ubud.
On Lombok can thoroughly recommend Holiday Inn. Rooms are in two storey blocks of 4 with loads of gardens creating plenty of privacy. Otherwise the Alang Alang is in a magic spot.
In Ubud my favourite is the Bali Spirit. I have posted about this place at length previously ?April 2004. Search archives for more info.
Sanur is not a good beach for swimming as it's a coral beach. Tuban and Seminyak are black sand beaches.
To chose a hotel decide on location first, then price, then whatever your priorites are e.g. size, pool area, balconies and tea & coffee making facilities. It's a process of elimination. I find it easier to make up my own chart of shortlisted hotels then decide, usually a final price will do that! Besides if you can do it in Thailand, Bali should be a sinch.
