After a number of visits to Thailand, we are now planning a trip to Bali and Lombok for September. As we're travelling from the UK we would like to see as much as possible while at the same time including plenty of time for chilling out. Current plan is to split time between Ubud (3 nights), Lombok beach (6 nights) and Bali beach (6 nights). On the beach front we are looking for quiet low key accommodation (boutique style rather than high-rise) and a decent swimming beach, without too many hawkers - is that possible!
Any thoughts on the itinerary or accommodation suggestions would be very welcome, we thought it would be relatively easy to pick locations/accommodation but the number of choices is overwhelming
