On my past trips i have used australian airlines{qantas budget airline}o garuda airlines both ok but you have to travel via melbourne or sydney arriving mid afternoon which turns out to be a busy time and can take up to 90mins to get thru customs and visa desk..tried air paradise last oct04 direct flight ex adelaide arriving 10 past midday i was in a taxi to my hotel by 1245..regarding time of year i have been in april which you can get showers in the afternoon but for only hour or so then fine but hot..june/july is very busy being peak school holiday times sep/oct is great..try golden bali holidays in pultney st city they are very helpful if its your 1st trip and can advise and work out a good package price but shop around and compare prices..try liftout in sunday mail called escape it has many good packages and contacts hope you go its a great place for a holiday..if you need more advise just post them on this site you will get plenty of advise and stories
