And if you really want to avoid any risk of Tsunamis, it is best to vacation in either Ubud or Jakarta!! And don't live / holiday on the north coast of Australia. North Bali seems to be pretty well protected by offshore islands (Borneo and Sulawesi). So, if you want a beach holiday, go to somewhere like Pemuteran or Lovina. Just a thought for anyone who wants to go to Bali but is a tad nervous. Although I think I would rather sit in a deck chair on any good beach in the world than walk along a city street these days.
