That's some great information regarding the deep fried spiders. I already knew what they looked like but appreciated the culinary description of what a spider recipe includes. Frankly, I probably would entertain at least trying to sample one at least once but like many world travel treats, know that my gastrointestinal system isn't accustomed to such exotics and will probably get sick. It's not a matter of me not wanting to try it, it's a matter of me having a bad reaction. Growing up in Hawaii, I've been exposed to many other Asian food oddities and fried spiders isn't as bad as some others. Ever tried Filipino balut?
