I use two different cards when in Thailand - one is HSBC and has a PLUS logo on the bank.
The other is from an Australian credit union - this doesn't have the PLUS logo but has a silver square on the front with a bird (this is Cirrus right???) This works too.
Some ATMs won't accept one of them (but I forget which card) so that's why I always have both cards with me.
Call your bank and ask. It might also be a good idea to tell them you'll be overseas as when I did this last year, I was told that they are suspicious of transactions from places other than your normal country of residence - worried about card scams - and might put a stop on your card. Better to let them know rather than risk this happening. You'd be up the proverbial creek if that happened.
