I think she meant 24 kg each for the 2 of them!

I am also sure that 20kg is the standard for economy cheched luggage but have also been told at check in that they let you go with 24kg most times b4 they charge excess baggage.

I wouldnt ever count on it though,because usually people check in together and both cases over by 4kg = 8kg! Not sure also if you would get away with it on the Thai side espesially fully booked flights?

(some cheaper Airlines have only18kg)
