Well Bobmac thats very interesting. It seems to me that having dental work done in Thailand is becoming so so popular ... my travel agent is in fact starting to do special dental trips, where you go there, have all your work done and then recouperate I guess.
I guess with anything these days, you need to get a written quote and certainly have the name of the person that quoted you that particular price. Im with you - NO DENTAL EXPERIENCE IS A GOOD ONE!!! Ive had a lot of dental work done over the years and also a lot of probs, which led me to see a specialist at the Pain Clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney cos no-one down here could work out why my mouth was still in bloody pain! Anyway ... thats a long story.
I guess ... like I said ... get price in writing ... and as you said ... make sure that the price quoted covers EVERYTHING!! My friend who had the laser whitening done in Patong just thought she was getting a raw deal when the procedure (and for about 24hrs afterwards) was soooooo painful, but on talking to people, both that have had it done in Thailand and in Australia, apparently this is normal. The clinic she went to (Sea Smile Clinic on Ratuthit Road) was lovely, clean, modern and dentist was good, so she has no complaints about the actual clinic. Just that our travel agent didnt warn her of the pain!!!
