Cor!! Another mystery of life cleared up today. OK, I'll stop moaning about edits for a bit ......maybe.

Yes those new passports are a right pain. I had to get one in Bangkok recently...they claim it takes 10 days to process. It doesn't, it takes a month and you have nudge them along a bit to get it even then. And in spite of the fact that a new passport now costs 10 times what it used to, the British government is too stingy to pay more than 2 (Thai) employees to deal with the 50+ people waiting in the queue so expect to waste a whole day at least if you ever have to go there. And they don't have the 48 page ones out yet. 32 pages won't last me long, will it? So I'll have to cough up another bloody fortune in a couple of years. It's a state imposed scam, that's what it is!
