I can't see any way out other than to return and get the Thai visa re-issued into your Australian passport and USE JUST THAT PASSPORT - AND NOT ANY OTHER.

My mate ended up in Thai security interrogation for five hours in 2006 for attempting to cross from Burma back into Thailand when using different passports (Canada/Oz).
The only reason I take both is to use when it is insisted you leave a passport for different reasons like bike hire ect, then I leave the spare one.

I didnt know you had to leave Australia with your AU Passport if you had dual nationality?

I used to leave Australia on my AU passport and enter UK on my British passport and vis versa just to get through customs quicker!

Mind you I havent been back to the UK since 911 so I am sure it would have changed?

Still handy to have a spare though.

Den.
