THe Bossotel is very good value but it is off Charoennakrung rd not Charoennakorn rd as requested. The 2 roads are on opposite sides of the river so I would presume that your guide has requested that particular road to aviod crossing the Saphan Taksin bridge which gets busy in the morning. THe Penn and the Marriott resort and Spa are the only 2 that I know on that road and they will both be alot more that 100Aus per night. I would tell the guide to leave a bit earlier so you could stay on the city side of the river as there is not much to do on the other side and it will be harder for you to get around.
