Smile Heaps of things to do but does depend on what you are

interested in. We went to Phuket Fantasea last time and plan to go back. This is sort of a love it or hate it place according to reviews but you never know unless you go! If you do go go early as soon as it opens as there are plenty of things to see besides the show. They also have a couple of bands playing and a show outside with lots of girl/boys and dancing etc.

Lots of people go to Phi Phi Island but it seems to be overcrowded. Think it is good if you like snorkeling.

We did a 4 in 1 tour with Siam Tours for about 1500bt. We went to an elephant camp, had a ride on elephant and watched a show, then went to a monkey temple where there are monkeys everywhere, a budda and bat cave, also to gypsy village for lunch then onto James Bond Island. Lastly we were taken canoeing in this area famous for the caves. Quite good value and well run. But you can get day trips for some of these things too.

Lots of people book to go on a sailing trip with a guy called Captain Mark. Not sure where they go but gets great reviews on Trip Advisor. I think you can also organise a tour to do the canoeing through the caves at night - this is called the starlight tour.

Trip advisor also has a lot of people go to a Friday night BBQ. It costs 150bt and about 100bt transport and you go to a restaurant , meet heaps of other travellers, eat and then get taken to a bar at Rawli? Beach. Supposed to be a good night and you get to mix with others and maybe get the low down on what to do and where to go.

There is the new Big Budha which I think is finished now. If its not still supposed to be worth checking out. Nice places to check out a sunset while eating near the beach. Wat Chalong and just a tour around the Island.

Shopping wise - www.check out cathyandgarystravelpages.com
Cathy has got a great website going with places to go , things to do. She also has a shopping list which you can print out and get an idea of how much things are to buy. Saves you getting ripped off a bit since they start at such ridiculous prices.

Phuket Town is also good for shopping and supposed to be a lot cheaper than Patong.

We didn't get to do as much as we would of liked to last trip so this time we are better organised and informed. Whatever you decide to do I am sure you will have a great time....
