We stayed on Long Beach in Lanta at a place called Good Days. The rooms themselves were fine (except for the one we stayed in the 3 brm beachhouse which leaked every time it rained, rather flooded every time it rained would be more accurate)...but the management was shocking! Unless you wanted to book tours through the guy running the place he did not want to know you. Great location though and you can get everything you need within walking distance of the hotel, so we learnt just to ignore him (and put all luggage up off the floor if it looked like rain)!

The place next door was just being finished while we were there. Lanta Castaway. Had a great beach bar which we used a bit!! The rooms there were lovely too - but I understand that there was a fire ther a couple of weeks ago??? Dont know how much damage was done.
