tviolet-you brought up the pancakes and Koh Chang, that means that you must have consumed a few from that male street vendor that rolls up in front of the 7-11 every evening in White Sand near KC Grand? Those things are awesome!

In regards to the discussion about money, I generally leave with at least 1K USD in cash, plus my atm/debit card and credit cards. I use my cc sometimes at hotels or for flights only. I try to use cash whenever possible. I will hit an atm as needed along the way. I have withdrawn larger amounts of money at banks on both my atm and cc on various occasions for different reasons. If staying at a hotel that has a safe, I only leave with cash for most day trips or outings and leave the rest behind. If I think I might have a need for a large purchase or something along those lines I will take my cards with. If hotel is a bit shady or no safe, I will take what I cannot afford to lose.

I did Angkor Wat last October, it was awesome. I was in North and South Vietnam two years ago, also enjoyed that very much. They both deserve a second look IMO. In fact, Vietnam will probably be in August. I am off to Thailand and Indo on March 7th :)
