Thoughts on Amari Palm Reef Samui We're looking at Amari for our next stay in Koh Samui (May this year). The reviews I've read on the net sound quite good, and they appear to offer very good deals in low season.
We are a mother (60's) and daughter (30's) and are planning to spend 14 days in Samui.
A few specific questions are:
- Best location of the rooms? Any clues/hints on the best spots!
- Worth paying extra for deluxe room? Superior rooms look very small and old!
- Rooms look quite small? TV screen looks tiny!
- Will we be too bored there for 14 nights?
We are familiar with the location and general feel of the resort as had lunch at Amari a couple of times last year when we were staying down the road at Muang Samui, which is a lovely hotel but we feel might be a bit small for such a long stay - ie grounds are very crowded and only one restaurant, even though rooms are lovely and large with huge bathrooms (the pics we've seen of Amari show small rooms and tiny bathrooms!).
Thank you all so much for any feedback - positive or otherwise!
