My worst ever flight was Garuda and I made a pact with God if he got me down safe I promised I'd never fly with them again and I haven't.
Flown long haul to and from the UK with Qantas, BA and Thai Airways.
People love to rubbish the Qantas staff but I've always found them brilliant.
Flown business class with Malaysia, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways to South East Asia. Thai was very ordinary for business class.
But overall my favourite is Thai Airways economy. To us there wasn't much difference in service as the service at the back end is still wonderful and the 34" seat pitch is better than most airlines so more room for longer legs.
Also as Thai Royal Orchid Plus members we get a further 10 kg per person which takes the stress out of shopping... most airlines are hitting passengers for excess baggage these days due to fuel costs. So with the fabulous staff, more leg room and a bigger luggage allowance Thai does it for us
I'm sorry I can't comment on Dubai (though I hear it's a wonderful 2 day stopover and lots to do) I've read Doha is a bit of a hole and not up to much. You may find out more about Doha on holidaytruths forum.
