Last I heard, was that you would be leaving for Phuket on Jan. 8th to stay at the Katathani. Have your plans changed ?

When you are in Phuket, if you can tear yourself away from Kata, take a trip to Surin Beach and visit Pla Restaurant which is right on the beach or for something a bit more upmarket The Beach Club which is owned by Twin Palms Resort and is also on the beach, in fact have a look at Twin Palms itself. It is not on the beach but about a 3 minute walk up the track behind the restaurant, absolutely beautiful. We are thinking of splitting out time between Katathani and Twin Palms next time we go, hopefully in September for a month. If you haven't been to Surin Beach, it's about 15 minutes drive north of Patong and when you get into the carpark on the beach go left for Pla and right for The Beach Club. Take your swimmers because you can hire chairs in the front of Pla on the beach and they will serve you all day, but if you want to hire chairs outside TBC they cost too much. We have been to Pla for lunch, had a swim and relaxed on the beach, then showerd at Pla and settled in for dinner !! Fantastic, wish we were there now.
