Yes, it is a bit quiet. It is weird as we had a ton of visitors not so long ago (real ones, not so called "bots") and very few posted anything. So I lifted the restriction that you had to register to post first on the basis that maybe submitting their email address in these days of mass spam was the problem.
I do not check anywhere near as much search engine rankings any more (how well the site does for searches on Google, etc.) but it is number 1 for Thailand travel forum as I just checked now, so that seems ok. I think some of the reason is that many former forum addicts (not just this one) have either worn out on forums and / or started blogs themselves; which is why I added a blog section here but no big takers so far
It is also quiet on the independent travel scene, I know this for fact from others and from my own reservations site. A combination of financial worries over the economy, the environment and the fact getting on a huge carbon emitting airplane does nothing to help, the run up to Xmas making it quiet anyway with people spending more time in the real world (not the cyber world) and have less $ and therefore less travel historically at this time of the year anyway.
If you have any ideas of any improvements I can make to the forums to help, I am always ears open, but I think I have done as much as I can; I even researched the forum software to the point of buying the one that the search engines like the most to make sure postings were as visible on searches as possible.
