The tiger temple is only a couple of hours away from Bangkok and can easily be a day trip.We went last year and got our own driver to take us to the River Kwai,Museum and saw the Tiger monks all in one day. I have 2 kids so it wasn't exausting and if you take your own driver you can stop and start when you want.It wasn't rushed either so take your time enjoy the sights because it is fantastic there.
