We like the silom serene and it is very reasonably priced and a block from skytrain. Breakfast is included. We took a 2 night tour to river kwai and stayed in river kwai jungle rafts hotel one night and their resotel the other. Added in an excursion for 2 one afternoon to tiger temple which was nearby. Loved it all! Make sure you visit jim thompson's house. we buy loads of elephant greeting cards for all those birthdays in their shop, they are about 3 for £1. admire the silk items, but they have all gotton too expensive for us.
