Exclamation Seminyak and villas

I do not know of these two villas; there are so many now in the Seminyak / Canggu area it is being to look like a scene from Neighbours! The thing to be careful of right now is to make sure the villas are properly / legally trading, as the local authorities seem hell bent on closing a LOT down in January / early next year. The way you do this is easy; just ask the villas for a copy (scan) of their Indonesian operational license. This should have their villa name on it; it may be different to their villa name (the villa name may be a trading name) in which case you may need extra proof it is theirs. If you can not get this, do not touch them as you may well end up without accommodation. Be careful of any villa that will not give you this or where the operational permit is for a management company; the authorities in Bali have stipulated that each villa must have its own operational permit as per the law. Be warned, some nasty surprises are likely to be around the corner.

Seminyak is not a safe beach for swimming IMHO, no. If you want safe swimming (free from waves, pollution, dangerous currents, beach hawkers, etc.) I can only think of one place in Bali that qualifies and that is Pemuteran on the North West coast of Bali.
