Latest news I can find about casualties is this from AFP.

BANGKOK (AFP) — At least 39 people were killed Sunday when a Thai airliner crashed on landing on the southern resort island of Phuket, Thailand's deputy transport minister said.

"Thirty-nine dead bodies were found. About 50 injured were sent to hospital. We are still searching for another 34," the minister, Sansern Wongcha-um, told reporters.

"We still don't know the cause of the accident."
Apparently the weather has been atrocious in the area for the past few days and today was the wettest yet.
