The shops in the market that is not on the beach rd but the one that runs parralell to it (across from the Patong Merlin Hotel entrance) seem to be cheaper and better to deal with than the beach rd merchants.
The better quality T-shirts are 150baht for 1 and 120 baht if you buy a few. Billabong shorts range from 250-450 depending on the quality. Polo tops from 200-250, Dvd's can be bought for as low as 70Baht if you buy a few (most are good quality, but the most recent cinema releases tend to be a bit dodgy). Football shirts are about 150-250 baht and about 400 baht for kids top and shorts sets, Women designer tank tops about 100 baht and designer jeans about 800. These prices are a "good price for you, good price for them" situation. You will be be able to squeeze them down a little more but I would rather leave with both sides happy.
