Kim Hi Kim,
It would be great if you messaged me about the glasses.
We are going on the 26th September and staying at the Katathani for 10 nights and then 12 nights at the Merlin Beach Resort. We have stayed at the Merlin twice before and we really like it despite its isolation but we thought we'd like to try a new place. We decided to hedge our bets by still staying some of the time at the Merlin in case we didn't like the Katathani. I looked at the rooms at the Impiana and loved the location but the rooms smelt really mouldy and that turned me off. We considered staying at the Baan Yin Dee and the lady we hire our driver from was working there last year. If you need a reliable driver let me know as we were very happy with the man who drove us. They charged us about $35AUD for an 8 hour day and you could go anywhere you wanted and Chort would just wait for us, always with a big smile, unlike the other driver we had who just wanted us to hurry and even came looking for us inside a restaurant to give us the hurry up even though we were still entitled to another hour or so hire.
I hope you have a great time and I'd love to know what you think about the Baan Yin Dee. While you're there if you want some nice seafood try The Tipsy Prawn, down an arcade next to Subway on the Beach road. The owner Mal, an Aussie will order fresh prawns or whatever you want from the markets, if you tell him the day before. It's not a flash restaurant but nice atmosphere and right on the beach.
Regards
