 Lizards, bands and mystery dining
We are going out for a mystery dine tonight. I go to restaurants and review then and then i get paid for doing it.
I am going to have to review this because tomorrow I am starting on brand new medication to lose weight and to lower my blood sugar. The medication is derived from the Gila Monster. This is a lizard that lives in Arizona. Trials are not yet complete but my consultant has agreed to let me try it. Fingers crossed. It is in my fridge as we speak (well I type). You inject it.
I have just been throught he last process to satisfy the Primary care trust of my need for weight reduction surgery. They have all agreed and if the committee give it the go ahead they will fund gastric banding. They say that the total cost including after care is 14,000 pounds.
So things could be going in the right way. The insulin that I am on is putting weight on me and as i am insulin resistant rather than not producing it this has to be kepy increasing. Dramatic weight loss may mean that I can reduce or even stop the insulin.
So bit off the travel topic or is it.......anyone out there with a Gila Monster?
