at the Anantara Hua Hin last year and loved it. It's about 3km out of town but an easy taxi ride in and the resort runs a free shuttle service. The grounds of this hotel are gorgeous and the staff very friendly. The night market in town is good and we found prices on par with Bkk, and a great choice of restaurants around town. We loved the seafood restaurants on the jetties. The beach is ok, not like the islands, but clean and you don't get hassled. We then got a cab up to Bangkok which was quite a pleasant 3 hour drive. We are planning to go back there again next year as it was such a relaxing holiday.
