Suk 11 is a good popular choice away from Khao San Road if you want it. Check out HostelBookersDOTcom, for a good assortment of reasonable choices in most areas of Bangkok. The hostel near Sukhumvit 25 ? and BTS Skytrain and MRT Asoke transfer station sounds nice. I don't know your budget though. More flashpacker rate than backpacker and Khao San rates for some.
