Don't go to Thailand during Songkran unless you like buckets of dirty water thrown in your face all day long! Watch a few video's on youtube to get an idea. I just got back from Bangkok and even though it cools you off, you are a prisoner in your hotel if you don't want to get wet. There is no going to dinner, no shopping, no enjoying the sights without a "bucket in your face"!
