Koh Chang or Koh Tao. Both are a pile cheaper than Koh Samui, and far less touristified. Koh Phi Phi is also pretty good, but the tourists are in the process of terraforming it and I hear its lost its natural charm from what it used to be.
Koh Lanta is also worth a look, I have a few photos from there at the bottom of this album:
