Wow, and we thought it was just us...
We booked Novotel Palm Cove with family who are also members, they are from Melbourne, we are from Brisbane. We booked 6 months in advance and were assured that we would have rooms side by side...we both had small kids at the time. We phoned closer to our ETA and were assured that we would be together.
On arrival one family was in one block and the other family were in a totally different block of units, the room next door to one of the units was free and so we enquired and were told that they were holding this room for another group who had requested to be together!!
Mercure Geelong, the rooms were substandard, the toilet blocked and the night manager, who was also the bar manager and the front receptionist couldn't help us as he was too busy. We were a big group in town for a wedding, and after the wedding we all converged on the bar in our hotel for a night cap, only to be told that we could not have a drink as there was no-one to serve us....
We have kept the membership going - don't know why.
We booked Novotel Palm Cove - yet again, with the same family from Melbourne, surely they couldn't get it wrong again....YUP - same again, we were so far apart AGAIN!!!
One time we were invited to Twin Waters to attend a forum on "Time Share" and we felt so intimidated and badly bullied that we walked out....
We have been members since 2001 - silly us....and will definitely NOT be renewing this year, neither will the family from Melbourne...Even if they beg and beg (as they do each year)...
Wish this forum was around when we joined, I wonder if anyone from Accor read it????
Signed disgruntled and disgusted...
