You have to admit that it's not always possible to get the hotel you want where you want it at the time you want it, but let's be honest here, Accor is a business after all. I managed to get the free night that was promised to me at a hotel which I have stayed at before anyway. It's the Novotel hotel in St.Kilda, Melbourne which is not a 5 star hotel either but it's a hotel where as I already said, a hotel that I had stayed at before. Plus I got my free bottle of wine , which was promised to me, if at least one of the people I suggested joined too. But you have to be a bit clever and work out how to make it worth it. In my case in the 3 months that I have been a member, I already got my money back easily. Let's me work it out for you how I have done this. I got the free night which would have normally been worth around a $140 upwards. Then I got the 50% discount on smorgasboard breakfast for two which was normally $20 per person. That's another saving of $20. After that each time we go to melbourne we go and have a nice dinner at one of the different accor hotels where I also get the 50% off. Now as you would all know, you can't eat out for less than around $30 per person including desert and one or two glasses of wine. That's not exagerating surely is it? So instead of ending up with a bill of around $60 to $80 for two people to eat out you would be paying $30 to $40 instead. So as you can see if you eat out at these hotels a few times, it doesn't take too long to get all your money back and then some. So come on, lets all look at some of the positive things too and not just the negatives.
