Hi Danielle, Loved the report, has inspired me to start planning a trip for later this year. Havn't been since 2005 and am starting to pine for the place.
Anyway, My parents are off to BKK next week and they are also staying at the PP. My mum is a shopper and generally a retailers dream as she doesn't like to barter, so I would like a general price guide of what she should be paying for clothes, etc at the MBK.
I spent 4 days shopping there in 05, but as you mentioned, prices have risen and I dont want her to get too ripped off. She will be looking for shirts, Billabong shorts, shoes, soccer tops for the grandkids and the odd bag or two. Also, can you recommend some good restaraunts around the PP, Authentic, inexpensive Thai food, that they could get to easily. Mum is not very mobile. I also recommended that they eat at the Loft food court but cant remember which shopping centre it is at and which Skytrain station you get off at to get to it.
They are also from Melbourne ( seems like a common theme on this forum) so if you could help out some locals with this info. it would be greatly appreciated.
