Thanks for the feedback everyone!
I was worried everyone would be so bored with tales of pool, shop, eat, drink, shop, hair, drink, dinner, drink ... I was a bit embarrassed when I reread it before finally posting as the trip just seemed so "shallow"!
Michelle, the legroom is really very good on Jetstar ... and the seats have excellent headrests which you can manipulate into quite comfy positions ... we didn't order the "comfort kit" (pillow, blanket, eyemask - think it's about A$10) as we really didn't need it. I had heard rumours that the cabin crew get a commission on all the on-board sales and they do things like put the a/c up to freezing level so everyone is forced to buy comfort kits (!!) but it certainly wasn't like that on our flights. I wore a t-shirt and a denim jacket and I didn't need a blanket (or a pillow). Food was fine - going over we had a couple of sandwiches and coming back nothing, becuase we had eating in the Qantas Club and we left at 9pm so just wanted to sleep! I seem to recall some sort of announcement about bringing your own food on board ... ie that one is not permitted to eat any "imported" food but I wasn't really paying attention as it didn't apply to me!
Jax - thanks for sharing the pics of you in hospital - not exactly what one wants for the holiday album. What a trouper you are - hope you managed to get lots of lovely pampering in Bkk ... will await the next intsalment of your JBR with great interest! It can get any worse ... can it?! xx
