Hi I am Jackie and i am classed as a travel fossil on this site (thanks Mark)
We went to Thailand first in 1999 for our silver wedding anniversary. I fell in love with it and in particular Koh Samui. We have since visited 8 times for periods of a month or so. Last year we spent 10 weeks in Thailand and a little while in Vietnam.

We have been to Koh Lanta, phuket, Samui, Krabi, Phi Phi, Bangkok and stayed in different areas in all of them.

I have made some enduring friendships on the site that we follow with emails and on FB.

I think that it would be fair to say that I am more in love with Thailand than Dave my husband.

We are well travelled and have travelled widley in Europe the caribbean , Africa and we have cruised as well. I think that overall the standard of accommodation and value for money is excellent in Thailand.

I am not working due to ill health but I do some voluntary work visiting prisinors in the cells of police stations as well as sitting on a number of community boards. I also have a regular spot on the radio which I love.
