I personally feel Thai resorts would do better to offer more to couples and families, they would earn more money that way I am sure.Hua Hin is a place I feel does well in this area, whilst still retaining it's girly type bars.Good choice of Hotels, and restaurants are varied and plentiful.Nice beaches and so on......I met an English Guy whilst I was there and he said Disney were talking about making a Disney world near Hua Hin,but I don't know if he was corect or not. That would certainly impact on the local economy if they did,yes the other Thai resorts should move the girly bars off the front and retain a family image along the front.Nice restaurants, bars and maybe some cabaret bars would really turn things around for the Thai's.Get away from the sex trade as a major player in their economy, and bring different types of clients to enjoy what Thailand has to offer.I am sure peope would return, lots of women are put off by the thought of screaming girls and lonely old men stalking the holiday resorts.
