Sorry I don't have time in the near future to read everything you've cut & pasted here but I've scimmed it and a couple of points jump out:
"The sex trade became publicly exposed in Thailand during the Vietnam War, when the American military came from overseas. Sex tourism in Thailand is a growing industry, offering guided sex tours to show the tourists where the many children and women who are involved in the sex trade are to help create new cliental (Royal Thai Embassy, 1997) - Exactly. It's always the fault of others, never their own fault.
Also the parents selling their kids into sexual bondage is an Asian thing and not a supply & demand due to tourism. It's been going on in Asia for centuries and will continue for centuries. The gals that staff the bars in Pattaya, Phuket, & BKK where the tourists go for female conpanionship are not sexual slaves sold into bondage. They are free to walk out at any time and the staff turnover is super heavy, as gals leave to go live with boyfriends, go overseas with their foreign boyfriends, go to work in other jobs when they tire of the bar scene. The young gals that are forced to work for years paying off debts to the families are kept under lock & key in the brothels & rong nam cha hotels for ASIAN clientele, meaning Thai and Thai-Chinese men.
It's time the Thais start taking some of the responsibility for this shameful situation themselves, instead of always passing it off as the foreigner's fault.
