I have just spent a couple of weeks in Ubud so have visited many of the restaurants. One of our favourites is a newish one - the 3 Monkeys just down from Lamak in Monkey Forest Road. Modern decor, great food. Our special favourite is the Tropical Bakery which near Mosaic. Food is exceptional and presentation wonderful. It is not a cheepie. You can have a 3 course meal for 180,000 rupees for a Degustation menu. That just means a lot of sample food. All delicious. Great view over the fields if you go for lunch. I don't know whay people havent discovered this place. Just as good as Mosaic
